Operation Wallacea

Operation Wallacea and Fundația ADEPT

In 2013, Fundația ADEPT began a long term partnership with operation Wallacea. OpWall carries out a worlwide programme in which schoolchildren and university students gather information about the changes in and threats to globally important areas of biodiversity. Tarnava Mare is the chosen European hotspot. See Clip 1 (about Fundația ADEPT), Clip 2 (about OpWall nature projects in Tarnava Mare) and Clip 3 (about OpWall agriculture projects in Tarnava Mare).

Video: Opwall Director Alex Tozer, & Director of Fundatia ADEPT Nat Page, describe the beauty of 'the rainforests of Europe'. The grasslands of Transylvania are some of the most diverse & threatened ecosystems in Europe, and this film shows what the schools groups will be contributing to over their expedition. More importantly, here Alex & Nat tell you just why that work is so very important.
